When good friends Larnelle, Esther and Mene are abducted by aliens on their way home from a late dinner, the three women have only begun to experience incidents of high strangeness. Besides the odd marks on their bodies and the four hours of time that they lost, they have a host of other problems to deal with. As a result of their swearing that they were aboard a UFO--and experimented upon--Mene loses her baby son, Esther loses her bakery business, and Larnelle, despite her years, finds herself pregnant. The only calm head amid this chaos is Leonard's, the local Navy recruiter and Larnelle's nephew. High Strangeness looks at what can happen to us when we are not believed.
